Assalamualaikum and a very good evening (mind you i'm trying to be a bit formal here)
so its 6th of April 2017 which means I have turned 20 approximately 9 days ago (yay me). So its kinda like a new me resolution to write a blog (or renew) if you should put it that way. My head is kinda bit jumble up right now but I'm just gonna go for it!
So, talking about aging (are we in some product commercial or something???) a year and transitioning from being teen to the -ty years, it opens up my eye /my smol tiny eyes/ a lot about it.
like, ya allah, I'm really 20.
I am not considered a child anymore (well, newsflash kakngah, u already passed the child age since 13)
I still haven't got my driver's license yet /but we'll get to that story in a sec/
So, yeah. You can see, thoughts came flooding in. Insecurities kept bugging. Trains of what-ifs kept crashing to my big head. But, I'm just gonna go for it. Yeah they say 20 ia a big number like two zero and not something-teen anymore, but I'm still the old me. But the more mature me, the more think-before-you-do-something me, the more advanced and improved (are we launching tech products here??) ME.
And my vision in life still remains. Do what you want and don't give a damn about what people thinks (moderately of course). Don't take my vision too seriously. I'm not crazy enough to jump a building just because my heart tells me to. I have faith (to: ALLAH) mind you.
Also being mature is not all-serious-and-no-jokes all the time u know. Being mature is embracing youth and try to improve ourselves in aspects that we are lacking. For example, I myself am a heavy sleeper and hard to wake up even with the loudest volume of the alarm. So my new age (is that a thing?) resolution is to try and wake up from sleep as early as possible and not sleep after Subh. That is kinda hard I suppose but its called an aim for a purpose. And I'm still gonna crack up jokes and teasing (read: menganjing) my friends all the time like I usually do, I'm still going to smile and make weird faces when necessary all the time.
Hello, I'm a twenty-year-old Aqilah and I'm proud of it.
Thank u and Assalamualaikum <3
